Village court:   

For the localization of some small civil and criminal disputes in the countryside

The court that is formed under the Union Parishad is the court of "Village Court"

 

Village Court Law: 

Village courts were formed under the Village Court Act 2006.Village court law has come into force on May 9, 2006.

The structure of the village court- :  

Village court is formed in coordination with 5 (five) representatives. These are:
  1. Chairman of the concerned Union Parishad
  2. Two representatives of the applicant's party (1 member of the union council and 1 person).
  3. Two representatives of the protesting party (1 member of the union council and 1 person). Article -5

 

 Chairman of the village court:   

  In the union, the application for the formation of village court will normally be filed

  Chairman of the Union Parishad will be chairman of the village court. Article-6

 
The village Shalishi court of Khanpur Union Parishad has been working as a charitable organization. Many cases are resolved peacefully. The village Shalishi of the Union is court. Besides, this important work of making people aware of the law is spreading it among the people through this court. This has reduced the trend of crime in society in many parts.
